About Ruth
I have a fierce love for all dogs, big and small! Having grown up with them my whole life, and now that I have a home of my own, I have jumped at all chances to mind dogs. I live near the beach in Bray and also have a membership to Killrudery to bring them on fun walks, both of which seem pretty popular with each of the dogs!
I don’t have a dog of my own (yet!), so I would be minding just your dog(s) to have my full attention.
There is a green in the front of my house that the dogs in the neighbourhood play in so ideally your dog would not be too dog reactive.
I work from home most of the week and only sit on those days so that I can bring them for walks and bathroom breaks throughout the day.
I treat them like one of my own and genuinely fall in love with each and every one of them. I love seeing their little personalities come through as they start to get settled in.
I also love sending pupdates! So you will see what your dog is getting up to, whether that is going for nice walks around the town, playing at the beach, walking up the mountain trails in Kilruddery, or simply cosying up on the couch.
I have had four dogs growing up; two Kerry blue terriers, and two Jack Russells.
Since then I have cared for dogs of all sizes and breeds from a puppy Chavachon, to a Portuguese Pondingo, to a Labrador, to a Staffy mix, to two beautiful big greyhounds just to name a few.
I have been minding dogs for the past three years and have administered antibiotics and pain medication for a dog who had had surgery so I can follow treatment plan if needed.
I own a small house where the dog(s) would sleep in the living room and can walk around the ground floor. We have a small back yard so on warm or dry days we keep it open to let them have a sniff around and pee if they need, but they mostly go bathroom in the large green outside or on walks with me.
