About Sonia
Hello, I'm Sonia!
I had a golden retriever who sadly passed away a couple of years ago. I always absolutely loved taking care of dogs and always treat them as my own!
I know how important they are and they always bring me joy and comfort. In exchange for the happiness they bring, I take the most care of these furry friends, no matter the breed or size.
I used to take care of three mixed breeds for weeks as they were the dogs of a friend of mine who trusted me to walk them regularly and give them all the love and attention they needed!
Since I moved in Cork I have been dog sitting regularly, doing day care, boarding and walks for the people who needed me.
I have two regular dogs that I walk every week and I have been dog sitting them for a few weeks at a time when the owner is away on her holidays!
As I am living in an apartment I do prefer to do day care.
After a bad experience boarding a dog who wasn't socialised and trained (the dog was aggressive to my friend and my partner living with me + damaged furniture), I will only accept to take care of dogs overnight if I know them or if we can meet them beforehand. I hope you can understand!
I cannot wait to meet you and your furry best friend!
Have a lovely day 🌟
[ Important note for all the dog owners:
Please DO NOT LIE to dog sitters.
If your dog has behavioural problems it's IMPORTANT to let them know for their own safety and other people's safety. As much as I love all of the dogs, dog sitters should have the right to refuse to take your dog if they're territorial or too possessive. They shouldn't be surprised by your dog repeatedly growling and barking at other people, and they shouldn't have to be constantly scared of the dogs reactions with everyone else.
If your dog is like this, get help from a trainer and find dog sitters that are used to this type of behaviour and live in an environment where they can avoid any possibilities of aggression. ]
