About Bill
I stay at home everyday working with my computers and exercising after suffering a stroke ten years ago! It's nice to care for a pleasant dog while doing these things! I'm assisted by my 14 year old son, Robert, who loves dogs, especially those requiring long walks and play!
My peaceful home is located in a quiet cul-de-sac without passing traffic; it has hardwood flooring throughout and a 24/7 monitored Phone-watch security system (with 5 key holders on call)! The large residential site is surrounded by 6-feet high perimeter walls on two of four sides and a hedge and gates to the front ; the detached bungalow sits on a large concreted area with a large garden and Frankfield golf course to the rear! The nearest Veterinary clinic is 1 km away!
I've previously cared for a Jack Russell Terrier in my home for two years (2015 and 2016)! When I attended UCC (10 years), I looked after guide dog puppies! I couldn't part with the second one even though it had a genetic defect of the hip joint [egg and socket joint rather than a ball and socket!] so I kept it for years until it passed away! The first puppy regrettably was born blind and together with its siblings had to be destroyed! A devastating experience for me!
I've a calm, gentle temperament as well as academic qualifications and training in animal nutrition and dietetics!
My only son, Robert, loves dogs and enjoys playing with them on a leash in the large back garden as well as on walks in the estate and Frankfield golf course!
I prefer to care for one dog at a time in order to give it my complete and undivided attention while it's separated from its owner!
I provide regular text and photo updates by SMS during stays!
Guest dogs are free throughout the day and night to explore my open plan home to find the location that they feel most comfortable and secure in; I never use a cage;and, if deemed necessary, I'll keep the guest dog in my bedroom overnight within arm's reach to ease any owner separation anxiety it may have!
Bedding, food, toys, treats and water are always available throughout the day and night [except treats of course!]!
With about six visitors to my home every day, the guest dog will always enjoy plenty of attention and stimulation throughout the day to compliment the peace and quiet of the night!
