About Ava
With a lifelong love for dogs and experience owning and caring for both big and small breeds, I am your ideal choice for a dog walker. At 24 years old, I bring energy, responsibility, and a genuine love for all dogs. Currently, I have the pleasure of caring for my own German Shepherd named Nova, who has taught me valuable insights into canine behavior and needs. Trust me to provide your beloved pet with the attention, exercise, and care they deserve while you're away.
During a dog sitting session, I prioritize short/long walks that provide the dogs with mental simulation and time to let off energy. I adhere to their usual walking routine, providing consistent exercise and mental stimulation tailored to their energy level and preferences. Whether it's a stroll or an adventurous hike, I ensure they get the physical activity they need. Additionally, I pay close attention to their behavior and environment during walks, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times. Your dog's well-being is my top priority, and I'm committed to providing them with enjoyable and enriching outdoor experiences throughout the sitting period.
I have experience with big and small dogs from having huskies in the past to now having a german shepherd and Tibetan spaniel. I am able to deal with reactive dogs through experience also.
I am available Monday-Friday 5-9pm.
My experience with Nova, my energetic German Shepherd, has taught me how to handle a dog full of energy and reactive during walks. Through consistent exercise and positive reinforcement techniques, I've managed her energy levels and addressed reactive behavior effectively. I approach each walk with patience and attentiveness, utilizing desensitization and redirection methods to ensure a positive experience for both the dog and myself.
Caring for Dixie, my beloved senior small dog, has taught me the importance of patience, understanding, and tailored care. As Dixie has aged, her pace has slowed, and her mobility may not be as agile as it once was. To accommodate her needs, I've adjusted our routine to include shorter, more leisurely walks, allowing her to explore at her own pace and take frequent breaks as needed.
During dog sitting, your furry friend will have a comfortable sleeping area indoors, ensuring they feel safe and secure throughout the night. Whether it's a cozy dog bed in a designated area or a familiar crate if preferred, their sleeping arrangements will be tailored to their comfort and routine.

Additionally there is salthill, the city and spiddal perfect for leisurely walks and outdoor adventures. These nearby areas offer ample opportunities for your dog to explore, socialize, and enjoy the fresh air while under my attentive supervision.
