Hello! I'm Kelsey, a mature student from California studying to be a Veterinarian at UCD. Please note I cannot board at my home, but if you are comfortable with it I can house sit and care for your pet in your home! I am passionate about animals, and highly qualified, your pet would be in the absolute best care with me. I used to pet sit during an undergraduate program I was in while I was younger, and I would love to do it again. Since then, I have really grown as in animal care. - Worked in the veterinary field as a vet nurse for seven years. (I am not offering veterinary services) - I can administer oral, topical and injectable (intramuscular and subcutaneous) medications. - If your pet has special needs, I am confident I can help. - Masters obtained in Animal Behaviour & Welfare. - Raised 3 Guide Dog for the Blind Puppies in Training while completing my first degree. - Please reach out if you have dog training questions; I am well educated in positive reinforcement techniques. With my compassion for animals, comes years of education and experience providing expertise in pet safety/husbandry, dog training, animal behavior and that adequate exercise needs are reached. I have primarily worked with small animals such as dogs, cats and pocket pets. However, I have also worked on farms and in a zoo. I assure you that you will feel comfortable and confident when hiring my services. As a full time student, working as a pet sitter will be a wonderful outlet to earn extra spending income as well as enjoying quality time with animals outside the classroom. Which I will greatly enjoy as my animals are staying with my family back home, haha. However, because I am a student I am quite flexible with my hours. I am able to cat sit at my own home, but no dogs. I can pet sit at yours and take dogs on walks/jogs.
