About gladys
I feel passionate about animals in general, but specially dogs.
Spending time with furry companions to enjoy a fun and fulfilling walk allows me to combine my love for animals with the joy of being outdoors.
I truly believe that both humans and dogs deserve ample exercise and playtime to thrive both physically and mentally. I'm committed to providing your furry friend with engaging walks filled with opportunities for exploration, games and socialization.
I think to properly care for a dog it is mandatory to be responsible and genuinely love animals.
My attentiveness ensures dogs safety, and well-being while they are with me. This means give them enough exercise, breaks and loads of love in a safe environment. In overall the goal is to make each walk enjoyable and have a great experience for both.
Additionally, being reliable, punctual, and communicate effectively with the dog owners are important traits. Every dog is a unique personality, so I go ahead with any specific instructions or routines given by their owners. I like to keep clear and constant communication, providing updates on how they are, how did the walk went and informing them of any concerns or issues that might arise.
I also think vigilance is key. Stay alert about potential hazards and knowing how to handle unexpected situations
Lastly I do my best to always be ready with necessary supplies such as waste bags, water, treats and first- aid kits and a lot of positive energies to ensure a smooth and enjoyable walk.
About my availability; I'm currently working on a 4 days on - 4 days off shift pattern which allows me to be available on different days of the week (not only during the weekend).
In the past, I've had the pleasure of sharing my life with 2 wonderful dog, each leaving a lasting imprint on my heart.
The first of them arrived when I was 6 years old, and lived with me for 13 years. Timmy was like my little brother, we played and learned a lot from each other while we were growing together. He was just full of energy and I had the pleasure to spend hours with him playing and teaching him things like walking in 2 legs.
My other dog arrived as a gift from my sister, as her own one had a few puppies. She was our little angel, full of energy and with the most friendly heart I've ever seen. I was working from home by then so I spent every single day and time with her. She was the best companion I could have and we spent the most pleasant days together. Everybody loved her.
I also had the opportunity to looked after two different dogs while their owners (my friends) went to spend some very nice holidays away from home. They could rest on me as they knew how much I love dogs and how much I could care of them as if they were mine. Both in instances went very well and I could feel that both the dogs and their owners were happy with the treatment.
