About Megan
Hi !
My name is Megan and I am a 22 year old college student living in Dublin. I have a huge passion for animals and have owned various types such as dogs, cats and different breeds of birds, so it's safe to say I am very comfortable around animals.
I work part time as a receptionist for a reputable dog grooming/daycare facility which I absolutely love. I am constantly encountering many breeds of dogs of all sizes and temperaments. Working with animals brings me so much joy and content and would recommend it to any animal enthusiasts out there.
I have a lot of patience in general but in particular with animals. I like to take a very gentle approach when it comes to training so that no dog feels threatened and therefore can learn from their mistakes better. I also feel like it is very important to build up a relationship with any dog you are working with to ensure they feel safe and comfortable with me at all times as I would never want to cause any dog to feel distressed or anxious.
I have owned 4 breeds of dogs which include a Rough Collie, Chihuahua, Miniature Jack Russel and Staffordshire Bull Terrier. At the moment I own Chico (miniature Jack Russel) who is 10 and Bella (Staffordshire Bull Terrier) who is 9 months old. Both of my dogs are very well trained and love to socialise with everyone.
Thank you for reading,
Megan 🐶🐾
I am completely comfortable with all breeds of dogs. I try my absolute best to make sure all dogs should feel welcome and safe within my presence and care. I like to have a little routine for each dog depending on their needs and wants.
A typical day of dog sitting with me usually involves : a big walk in the morning (with or without my dogs, whatever suits the dog best)🐕🦺, a small breakfast in the morning followed by a big belly rub 🦴, a nice long play of fetch and tug a war in the garden (my garden is large)☀️🎾a little late afternoon rest/chill time before dinner 🛋️, a nutritious dinner 🍽️and a little evening trip to the dog park before bedtime 💤
I have grown up surrounded by animals, mostly dogs, and wanted to gain more experience in animal care and I am now a receptionist for a very reputable dog groomers/daycare. With this job I have gained a lot of knowledge on how to handle and care for dogs and gain more education and experience with various breeds. I also cover shifts in the daycare within my job which I absolutely love as I get to play with dogs all day and build relationships with each dog and their family. I love talk to clients about what their dog got up to during the day and how they got on in general so that each doggie parent is informed and included in their dogs trip to our facility.
I live in a bungalow with my family which is situated in south Dublin. I have a large back garden that is completely fenced off so that no dogs can escape and potentially harm themselves. I have lots of toys for all dog strengths including soft and hard toys and various treat games for mental stimulation. I live near a large park with a secluded river for those dogs that log to swim and a enclosed dog park. I have two sitting rooms where the dogs can sleep and are more than welcome to sleep on the couch with a blanket or I have a dog bed if they prefer. I prefer to let the dogs sleep inside incase if any bad weather or increased potential of picking up fleas/ticks, but on request I will put the dog outside on the back garden with a bed.
