About Rebecca

Hi! I’m Rebecca, I have always had a love of animals, in particular dogs. I volunteer at animal shelters as a way of giving back, I often walk dogs for friends and neighbours and I petsit on long weekends (I also have experience with small animals like cats, bunnies, guinea pigs, birds, and ferrets - I can accommodate sitting/check-ins for these animals also!) My background: I grew up with dogs, mostly rescue dogs, so I have a lot of experience with various dog breeds. I’m most confident leash walking and the wellbeing and safety of dogs is my top priority! I have fostered dogs for a local animal shelter over the past year, so am happy to accommodate sitting in my own place if the situation is right. Availability: Mon, Wed, Fri - 8am-8pm Tues, Thurs - 3pm-8pm Sunday - 8am-2pm My Services: Dog Walking - What to Expect - Safe, calm walks on leash in local areas near your home (I can tailor the walk to a specific route your pup is used to if preferred) - Can accommodate positive reinforcement training with treats/verbal cues if owners have already begun training their dog themselves - I can offer a 'Pop-in' service if you are at work or an appointment. I will check on your dog, let them into a secure garden or outside on a leash for a quick toilet break, followed by any enrichment/play needed to comfort your dog and tide them over until you return. Also happy to water plants/take parcels in etc - can accommodate small household requests while checking on your pup! - 60 minute walk for an active dog, or 30 minutes of walking coupled with 20 minutes of time in a local park to sniff, amble and discover for your pup. Pop-in services are seperate and will be billed seperately. - Pre-walk survey sent to you prior to our first walk, to collect information about your dog, your own preferences plus any special requests such as keeping away from other dogs/positive reinforcement cues/type of walk requested. I’ve loved dogs my whole life - I grew up on a farm with plenty of rescue dogs. I love being part of bringing happiness to dogs in my care, and would love to hear from you!
