About Maya
Hey! Name’s Maya, 24yo architect and Ana the mom who’s a primary school teacher.
Ana passed an animal welfare course and we have taken care of hundreds of dogs with a range variety of personalities, breeds, sizes and ages.
Bully breeds are more than welcome!
My 14yo staffordshire bull terrier Roxy has passed away last year who I've been with through all her ups and downs. We rescued her when she was 6 weeks old with pneumonia, nursed her through dementia, arthritis and lots of medication. She has lived in 3 different countries, in at least 10 different houses, because we treat dogs like family - would never get rid of a dog because of ‘inconvenience’.
I had to carry my dog up the stairs, to the garden, hand feed her. Her hind legs stopped working. She has prepared me to take care of any type of dog, any age with any special needs.
I am emotionally not ready to have another dog (plus I'm enjoying a bit of my freedom for the first time!), but I love dogs and their company.
We live in a terraced house in city centre, 8 minute walk to St Patrick’s Cathedral Park, and 8 minute walk down to the canal, which can provide exciting walks! The park is a meeting ground for dogs! Filled with lots of dogs each day, it is suitable for more social dogs who are preferably allowed off the leash. The canal depending on the side - for the introverted dogs who need some peace and quiet, or the opposite side for dogs who like attention but can't be let off the leash.
As we are both working a 9-5 four days a week. we are trying to have one or max two dogs at a time (unless from the same household). The dogs get walked at around 8.30am, 5.30pm and then before bed at around 11pm + access to the garden when needed.
Ask away if you have any questions!
