About Adail
I would love to take your dog/dogs into my home while you are away and look after them as you would care for them in your home, they will be treated as part of our family for their stay. I can’t guarantee that they won’t be spoilt but they will have a great time when they are here and I will send you lots of updates and pictures/videos as often as you wish. We have a secure garden with high walls and double gates plus indoor and outdoor security cameras that send a live video feed of your pet to our phones if we am not at home for short periods. There are no children in the house.
For me, (1) it’s important that your dog is up to date with their flea/tick/worm and vaccinations as they will have access to my home during their stay. (2) It’s essential that they are fully house trained and that they (3) do not bark when left alone (e.g. at night or when I am working at home during the day) as my partner works nights, hence sleeps during the day plus I am on customer care calls when working from home. I foster dogs from time to time and occasionally mind my friends dogs at short notice (due to their job) so I can only accept dogs that are dog friendly.
If your dog is happy in the car, we will bring them with us whenever we can. I prefer if you bring their bed/blanket/toys etc. so that they can feel as much at home as possible along with their usual food and treats. Please do not bring food bowls or leads. We usually provide lots of healthy treats but are happy to comply if you have a preferred diet for your dog. We tend to spoil dogs a little bit as it’s difficult for them being away from their family but we will happily follow any rules that you have without any judgement (eg sleeps in a crate, use of hand signals etc.). For longer stays (more than 2 nights at the weekend), I ask that your dog stays 1-2 nights with me in advance so that we can both get to know each other and attempt to minimise any separation anxiety. Currently I’m unable to facilitate drop offs or collections before 12 noon on Fri/Sat/Sun/BH Mon. Dogs should be collected by 6pm on Sunday evening (or Monday on a BH) unless they have booked a longer stay. Monday drop offs/collections cannot be facilitated atm. Please drop me a message if you have any questions after reading the information above. We look forward to meeting your furbaby.
