About Joyce
I have loved and looked after dogs all my life; I grew up with Shih Tzus, Yorkies and Alsatians. Our cocker spaniel died a few months ago, and we like minding friends' dogs in our cosy home and garden.
There is someone at home most days; our sons are students and come and go at different times. We all love dogs. We would talk to the dog and bring it for walks as requested. The dog can potter around the house and garden and (as long as it's house trained) it can even sleep upstairs if that's what it's used to.
I've had dogs all my life: I have seen puppies being born and held dogs as they have died, and everything in between. We swapped dogs with friends rather than use kennels, so I understand people's need for a loving home rather than a bigger facility with routine and rules.
We have a walled back garden with plenty of bushes and corners to sniff out. There are three parks nearby, as well as the Dodder. The dog's bed can stay in the kitchen during the day. There is a door to the garden from the kitchen and from the garage. There's also a flap in the garage door so the dog can go in and out by itself.
