About Shane
I would be delighted to take your dog for a walk or provide day care. I am a primary school teacher who has a lot of free time in the evenings but mostly during school holiday times. I am finished for the summer in two weeks. Until then I am free past half 2 any day and fully free on weekends. I have experience with my owns dog, family dogs, and my partners dogs. I have also volunteered at rescue centres veterinary clinics where I have taken many dogs on walks.
When taking a dog on a walk I would first ask the owners about the dog (certain food, treats, walking routines etc). I am comfortable taking the dog on any duration of walk. There are many suitable local parks such as Merion sqaure. I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes. I have had dogs all my life of different sizes from my current dog (cockapoo) to my last dog of a Boxer. I have also volunteered in rescue centres, veterinary clinics and petting zoos throughout my life. I have also boarded many neighbours dogs. Before becoming a teacher I received a degree in outdoor education where I completed many modules relating to animals.
There are many local parks that are suitable for dog walking near me. Merion Square would be my closest and this is where I would take my dog for a walk. Saint Stephens Green is also not far from my house. I would often drive my own dog to the beach in Dolymount. There is a large enclosed grassed area inside the apartment complex which is suitable for dogs to play but I would take them to them to the park as a preference to this as it is only within 5-10 min walk. My parents are taking my dog for the summer as they part owners so there will be no dogs in the house. The apartnment is suitable for dogs as there is a decent sized living/kitchen are where there is a dog bed but my dog has always used the couch. There is a large window for the dog to look out. There is space in this room for the dog to play. I have the dog bowls in the kitchen area on the tiles as it is easier to clean.
