About Amelia (Amy)
I'm a 28 year old Autism Practitioner (social care) living in Dublin 4. I'm originally from Wexford but moved up to Dublin for work about 3 years ago. I work 9-5, 5 days a week and find my job tough but really rewarding.
I have always had a dog in my life up until recently and am really missing the companionship but unfortunately cannot get one as I am renting. Would love to bring your dog for a walk or keep it company with the knowledge and skills I have!
As previously mentioned, I have had dogs in my home for as long as I can remember. I regularly dog sit for my sisters rescue dog who is very nervous however I now have a great relationship with her. With my last dog, I would come home just to be with him! I understand all breeds require different activities and would follow the owners preferences, as well as dogs body language.
I have had 3 dogs in my life to date, both since they were puppies. My first dog was a cross labrador and old English sheep dog, second was a terrier cross and my dog who recently passed was a bichon freise cross. My first lived until she was 17 and I took great care of her when she was diagnosed with cancer. My most recent dog to pass required medication as he got very ill twice in the last year of his life. Our second dog was a blow in and just showed up at our door, so she was a nervous rescue who unfortunately got knocked down. Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. They bring a sense of comfort and general contentment and although I sit my sisters rescue dog the occasional weekend, I would love to be able to dog sit nearby.
I live in a very small carpeted apartment with 2 other girls. It is in a great location right beside the grand canal but also very close to great parks.
