My name is Rufus and I’m a rescue. I am very weary of new humans at first.. I’m not sure why but they can be really scary 🥺 I am timid but I will open up to you and I am very sweet. I really like to play with my toys and four legged friends once I get a bit more comfortable.
I don’t like to be left alone as I love human company (I have separation anxiety) I will cry very loud if I’m left alone for longer periods of time and if I have to sleep in a room alone. I am used to sleeping in my mommy’s bed but I also sleep in my crate often in my mommy’s room. It won’t work if I sleep in a room alone as I get overwhelmed 🥺 if my mommy has to go outside then she will put me in my crate for my safety.
I require a SECURE GARDEN as I can run away and run very fast. I went on a solo adventure once when my mommy’s friend was looking after me and I got lost. I was found after 2 days..
If you are able to manage with my needs then I will promise you I will show you how much of a sweet boy I really can be if I am given the chance.

Toilet trained. Likes to play with other dogs and his toys. Sometimes would take something he shouldn’t like a shoe so we keep them out of reach. Listens to basic commands.

January 2024Rufus is lovely and yes he is needy but gives so much love back .if you're like me and love to be needed he is a perfect dog to mind..he is playful with other dogs and got on very well ..I would love to mind him again

October 2023Rufus is such a sweet and gentle dog , he loves lying on the couch and relaxing. Rufus was a pleasure to mind and instantly got on with our 2 yr dog and they spend of the day lying on each other in front of the fire
