Boris is generally soft and calm, very good with people and children. He does not get along with other male dogs, shepherds or especially huskies, or even labradors. I think they are too active for him, but he has few friends among them, usually older and calmer and dogs. He does not seek any confrontation rather tries to avoid them, he is just defensive when he gets close. Experienced dog minder would recognize it from the distance. An inexperienced person might get confused because Boris never barks. With other sighthounds or very calm breeds, he is fine. Boris like running and chasing other small animals so letting him off the lead is not recommended, he will not come back when called. Around the house, he is very calm and usually sleeps. Never barks, he is house trained. If allowed he would seep on the sofa or sneak in the bedroom very quickly. If the door on the house is open and unattended for a long time he can wander off, so be aware. He does not like staying outside overnight. In our home, he sleeps in the conservatory.
