Cockapoo

Scout is 6 months old now. He’s a lovely friendly cockapoo. He loves company so we would be looking for a sitter who is home a lot. We have gone to training classes in Wonder Paws and he also goes to a doggie day centre once a week in Sandyford. He lives with me, my husband and our daughter. He loves company, having access to a garden and the odd pigs ear! House training: no accidents in the house as we leave the door ajar and he goes to the garden for all his business. Night time: He’s a good sleeper at night; he sleeps in our utility area with his crate ( open ). Usually sleeps from 11pm to 7am. Leaving the house: During the day if we go out, we place him in his closed crate with a kong and toys. The longest we leave him is 2 hours at any one time. Food: we feed him a kibble from our vets (hills) and he receives 3 portions a day at present. We use a kong wobbler, snuffle mat and a slow feeder to ensure he works for his food and also to slow him down as he’s such a fast eater. Walking: we walk him twice a day in places like Killiney Hill, Cabinteely Park, and the beach. He likes joining us in the evening time and while he likes the couch, he prefers to lie on the floor under the tv.
