About Louise
Hi there, I'm Louise. I am a dog walker and trainee dog trainer living in Dublin South City Centre. I have my own house in Portobello where I live with my 2 dogs, Sadie and Lexee who are female Cairn Terriers and my housemate Maud who love dogs just as much as I do. My house is an end of terrace so I have a separate side entrance right in to my court yard which is a modest size but big enough for fun and games. Sadie and Lexee live with me part time and my mum the rest of the time. I am available for dog walking and sitting at the moment with a view to adding grooming in the future.
I have grown up with dogs from, living with our family dog Dolly the Westie, to taking care of my granny's two dogs, Archie (Yorkie) and Bonnie (Westie). I have a great passion and love for dogs and want to turn that passion in to a career. Having obtained a certificate in Dog Behaviour and Training, I made the decision to leave my job in advertising and make this a perminant career move. I am working toward my IMDT dog training qualificate in August 2020. For the last 5 months I have been assisting in dog training classes so have a lot of experience with all types of dogs from puppies to adult dogs. I also completed a Canine First Responder course 6 months ago which I will be renewing again in the Spring while doing a dog grooming course.
As I live in Portobello, I am surrounded by lots of fun walking areas, from the canal to St. Kevins Park, Phoenix Park, Herbert Park and St. Stephens Green. I am also in close proximity to Sandymount beach where I regularly take my girls for a good run. I also take regular trips up the Dublin mountains for new adventures with the dogs. I have my own car so I can come collect or drop off if needs be.
