My name is Jackie and I am 51. I live alone with my ten year old terrier Bailey. He is quite used to dogs coming to stay.
Three years ago I gave up working in accounts to become a full time carer to my dad. When his health declined and he needed 24/7 care, I was torn between returning to office work or taking up something else that would give me job satisfaction.
It so happened last year that my friend who had always looked after my dog and I hers when we went away could not do it and I began to search for the right person to care for him. After several meet and greets I found someone who he connected with immediately.
I began to think about dog sitting myself as I understood how important it is to find the right person to care for your pet. I put up my profile and have never looked back. My home can be adapted to suit the older dog who likes to relax after a walk or keep the young ones in a safe place large enough to play.
I live in Dublin North. Very close to the M50 and Dublin Airport. I only take one dog at a time unless two are from the same home.
