You know that sign that says, "Dogs welcome, humans tolerated"? That's me in a nutshell (although I do enjoy human company as well). Furry, cosy, four legged friends hold a special place in my heart.
I understand, our dogs are our babies. It's not easy for us to be away from them, hoping that they're okay and well taken care of while we're away. That's where I come in, to give you peace of mind that your fur-baby is in the best paw-sible hands while you're away (with pictures!)
I am patient and cuddly, athletic and a good leader. Having a cattle dog, I've learned the importance of exercising the brain just as much as the body. I love to stimulate the senses with hide and go seek or an exciting game of follow the scent. My dog loves it and your dog will too!
My husband and I recently moved to Ireland from the UK. We packed up our things and our dog and sailed across the ocean via ferry to the Emerald Isle!
As far as my schedule goes, I'm flexible. My husband works during the week while I am at home with our dog so I'm able to stop in for a last minute walk (or run) if need be. I love the outdoors and I am always outside, so you can trust that I will make the most of any time spent with your loved one, young or old. You'll come home to find them well exercised, slobbery, and smiling.
I offer doggy day care, dog walking, and dog boarding. During all of these stays with me, your dog will be with me 24/7. You don’t have to worry that you'll be dropping them off somewhere just for them to leave your beloved pup alone! I love taking my dog for a walk or run along our rural paths, playing fetch with them in my garden and walking down to Lough Ballymore for a swim. Exercise will never be an issue with me because I’m always outdoors! I offer 30 minute walks 3 times a day, sometimes more depending on if we’re on a hike, or how much fun we’re having!
Your pup will definitely be tired after all that playing, so they can curl up with me for a nap and some down time before heading back out on the go! Because my Cattle Dog is naturally dominant, I have a rule of no jumping up on the furniture, so I make sure that she’s comfy and cozy in her own bed at my feet! I believe that it’s good to establish boundaries right away so that my dog (and yours) don’t have to be anxious and wonder what they’re supposed to be doing! They can be balanced and calm and happy, which are three things I can promise they will be at the Heeler House!
