I have over 20 years experience working with dogs in a variety of professional capacities. I ran my own dog walking and dog care business when I lived in the UK, I also worked with small animals and rescue dogs at Foal Farm in Kent and Folly Wildlife Rescue where I administered medication to sick animals and was involved in their hospitalisation and recovery from injury and trauma, some of which was very severe. I also worked in a veterinary practice as an assistant nurse when I was in my early 20s.
I adore all animals, especially dogs. I am now in my 40's and my husband and I currently share our home with 2 dogs; a rescue bichon cross and a retriever as well as three very loved and quite spoilt kitties! We live in a beautiful part of the Cork / Waterford border with lovely woods for walks and a large garden, part of which has an enclosed little terrace area which is very secure.
I am very happy and confident with administering medication and daily injections. Both of my dogs are incredibly well socialised and attend doggie day care when I am teaching. Any guest doggie will be loved like they are my own and will sleep by the fire in my warm and cosy studio with my own dogs. I have a bed in my studio which I often sleep in myself if my animals are unwell.
Please be assured if your dog needs human company at night I will be there to cuddle them and reassure them! They will have free reign of the house and won't be left on their own for the duration of their stay with me. I know very well what it is like to leave your dogs behind as I often have to travel and I know just how important it is for you to know that they are ok and happy, so you can be happy too!
Please do get in touch if you would like me to look after your dog. I am happy to have any size dog in our home, they will just need to be tolerant of kitties, as they are the true rulers of the house!!
