* Please note that for the months of June, July & August, we will not be accepting any bookings from new clients for stays of less than one week. For those dogs who have stayed with us previously, we will do our best to accommodate stays of any length during that period*
Our names are Gordon & Ann and we live in Esker Lawns, only a five minute walk from Lucan village. We are very lucky to have several areas of parkland within a short walk away, including Lucan Demesne /St Catherine’s Park, Griffeen Valley, Willsbrook Park. For shorter outings, we also have a large green area only 200 metres from our front door.
Gordon is retired and Ann only works outside the home three days a week so we have plenty of time available to look after the smallest member of your family. Sadly, although we have always had our own dogs, we lost our last two beloved pets, Bam Bam and Pebbles a few years ago. Bam Bam was 17 years old and Pebbles was 18, a great age for two Border Collie crosses rescued from what was going to be a very sad ending.
We have been spending our time looking after dogs for friends and family, walking them twice a day and sometimes more. They are treated like members of our own family, as will your dogs be when they come to stay. We have a conservatory at the back of our house leading onto a good sized, fully fenced back garden. When the weather is good the door is left open for the dogs to walk in and out as they please.
Whether your dog is big or small, pedigree or cross breed, shy or excitable, it doesn’t matter. They will always receive a warm welcome in our home. We do like to meet owners and dogs here before a stay so we can all get to know one another. This also means your dog will have a chance to leave his / her scent in the garden before returning for doggy holidays!
Whilst you are away, we will of course let you have emails, texts with photos so that you are happy we are providing good care for your dog and everyone will be happy and relaxed at the end of their holidays. We do not mind if your dog gets a little dirty when we bring them to the park so, if you decide to have them washed and groomed before their stay, don’t expect them to be quite so clean when you get them back!
A big thank you to the many wonderful dogs who came to stay with us in 2017 / 2018, some of whom you can see in our photos. We are looking forward to seeing you all again and to meeting a lot of new doggy friends in 2019.
